Does anyone actually know the non-emergency O.O.P.S. number?

Been on hold with the main O.O.P.S. line for almost two hours. I don't need emergency reporting, I just need to file a product advisory follow-up for a Dehydrated Water recall notice I got in the mail for a can I already used six months ago. Do they have a non-emergency number or do I just have to sit here. Already tried the website. The "Contact Us" page just says "We know."

The non-emergency line IS the same line. There's no separate number. They triage based on how long you're willing to wait. The theory is that if it's not an emergency, you'll hold longer. Two hours in, you're probably close. Also, if the recall is for a can you already used, you should be filing with Consumer Aftereffects, not Product Advisory. Different queue. Different hold music. Much worse.

I just go in person. The office on Brellick Ave is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10-2, closed for lunch from 11:30-1:15, and they won't take anyone new after 1:40. Bring your own pen because they never have them.

UPDATE: Got through at the 3 hour 40 minute mark. The person who answered sounded genuinely surprised that someone was there. She transferred me to Product Advisory. Product Advisory transferred me to Consumer Aftereffects. Consumer Aftereffects said they don't handle recalls for products that have already been consumed, I need Product Advisory. I am now back on hold. The hold music is different though so cliff_oates was right about that.

The Consumer Aftereffects hold music is the one that sounds like someone playing a theremin inside a shipping container, right? That means you're in the right queue. If it sounds like smooth jazz being performed underwater, they routed you back to general intake.

Final update. Went to the Brellick Ave office in person like tpaige suggested. Brought my own pen. The person at the desk looked at my recall notice, typed something, told me I was "resolved," and handed me a form confirming that my case had been closed seven weeks ago. Before I opened it. They said, and I am quoting directly, "We work ahead when we can." I don't know what this means. But it's over. I think.
